Aasiya Thabassum obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2012. Following her graduation, she gained over a decade of professional experience across technology, defence, insurance, and manufacturing sectors, working with firms like Microsoft, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, and AIA Digital to name a few.

Her expertise spans Cloud Data Engineering, Data Architecture and Data governance. She has designed and implemented scalable data pipelines, managed data lineage, improved data quality, and prepared datasets for AI and machine learning applications. 

Currently, as a Data Engineer at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland, Aasiya supports multiple research programs by developing robust data architectures, combining her technical expertise with practical implementation to enhance research efficiency, enable data-driven insights, and support innovation in collaborative research environments.
